Oleksandr Zhovtenko: "I am confident that we will stay in the UPL"

After the 5th round match of the UPL against "Kharkiv," Obolon defender Oleksandr Zhovtenko, who came on the field after the break, shared his impressions of the game and talked about the team's mood after a poor start to the season.

— You came on as a substitute in a very difficult situation. What did you feel at the moment when you were on the bench and the team was conceding one goal after another?

— I don't know, you can say a lot now and say a lot of things. I believe that the yellow card shown to Roma Volokhatyi was very wrong. In the first minute, the first foul, in the center of the field, even on the opponent's half — why show a yellow card right away?

Then there was a penalty. It was reviewed — no questions there.

But I ask once again to review the moment with the fifth goal. In my opinion, there was a foul. We have already reviewed this episode during the air break. In my opinion, it was a clean ball there.

I understand that your opinion may differ, but the score of 0:5 is no longer a key moment of the match. At the same time, I believe that the entire score was somewhat influenced by individual episodes. This is my personal opinion.

— But with a score of 0:5, it is very difficult to change something. How does the team plan to deal with this situation, considering the poor start of the season and the lack of goals scored?

— You are right — it's very difficult. But we will do team building, we will communicate with each other, and somehow get out of this situation.

I believe in our team. We will accomplish the set task and stay in the Premier League this year.
