FC "Metalist 1925" will play against "Hammarby" in the Champions League
Today, June 24, the draw for the first and second qualifying rounds of the Women's Champions League took place.
"Metalist 1925" starts its European journey from the second round. The first opponent of our team in the mini-tournament will be the Swedish "Hammarby".
If victorious against the "bronze" medalist of the Allsvenskan, the Kharkiv team will face the winner of the pair "Manchester United" - "PSV". Only the winner of the mini-tournament will advance to the third and decisive qualification round.
The second place (advancement to the final of the mini-tournament) will allow "Metallist 1925" to play in the second, final, round of qualification for the main part of the European Cup, the third place - in the first round; the fourth position (defeat in the match for third place) will mean the end of the European season for the team.
Stockholm will host the matches of Group 1 of the League Path. The semi-final matches will take place on August 27. The final match and the match for third place are scheduled for August 30.
