On August 2, the third round of the Ukrainian Women's Super League in rugby-7 took place at the Spartak Stadium in Kyiv. This game day turned out to be decisive in the battle for the championship.

By securing confident victories over the "Lionesses," RC "Odesa," and "Carpathian She-Wolves," our girls prematurely clinched the championship title, becoming unreachable for the closest pursuers. Kharkiv is in first place, while Lviv and Odesa will determine the second team of the Super League on the final game day.

The competition will traditionally involve teams from the Super League, as well as some second teams of clubs.

Serhiy Harkaviy (head coach of RC "Metalist 1925): "We prepared very thoroughly for this round, the first home game for "Metalist 1925". I am very grateful to the club management and the Rugby Federation of the Kyiv region for their assistance in organizing. Yes, not in Kharkiv, but Kyiv welcomed us very hospitably."

We also understood that for the Lviv team "Lionesses" this was practically their last chance to catch up with us. The girls aimed to play victoriously, there were many of their friends and relatives in the stands, and the guys from RC "Kyiv" also supported us. By the way, I am very grateful to the Kyiv team for the sparring we had two days before the round, it was beneficial for us.

Regarding the matches, the first one was crucial. That's understandable. We had productive training sessions, practiced on a good field, and approached Saturday fully armed. The score of 38:0, of course, is quite significant, but it speaks primarily about our concentration and readiness. I am grateful to all the girls for executing the coaching instructions 100%.

Now the Ukrainian Cup is ahead. I thanked the girls for the work they have done during the Championship games, now we have several days off and the beginning of preparation before the cup competitions. They all understand how important it is to prepare correctly and qualitatively for the tournament."

The management of FC "Metalist 1925", co-founders of the club, men's and women's teams, as well as all fans congratulate the girls on this triumph. "Metalist 1925" is a big sports family!
