Yevhen Nazarov: "Football is a game that you have to play until the final whistle"
The head coach of the youth team "Metalist 1925" Yevhen Nazarov on the draw of his players in the match against "Ruh" (4:4):
- I can briefly analyze the game... In football, you need to play ninety minutes plus whatever the referee adds. Not forty-five or fifty-five... Everything was in our hands and heads, maybe it's the psychology of young players, and not only young ones, the desire to hold onto a winning score, but in football, you need to play so that the young players who play in the U-19 league stand out in the main team. To fight, to struggle, it's all good, but football is a game that you need to play until the final whistle.
- In your opinion, how did you manage to gain such an advantage in the first half and not hold it in the end?
- We had our game plan, which the players executed, played their game, scored three goals before the break, quickly responded to the conceded goal at the beginning of the second half, had more chances. Yes, in the second half, psychology somehow kicked in, although we told them not to press near their goal, we analyzed the opponent and saw that they were dangerous during set pieces. We saw all of this, unfortunately, we couldn't reach our players.
