"Metalist 1925" confirmed champion status in the final round of the Women's Rugby-7 Super League

The women's rugby competition has finished!

Last Saturday, the Odessa Stadium "Ivan" hosted the 4th round of the Ukrainian Super League in women's rugby-7. This sports arena is home to the football club "Real-Farma" from South Palmyra, where golf is very popular, and it was here that the football team "Metalist 1925" took its first steps in professional football. In August 2017, the "yellow-blue" footballers achieved a hard-fought victory over a tough and worthy opponent, and in 2025, "Ivan" kindly welcomed the rugby players of our club. The quality of the pitch and the living conditions of the arena allowed the participating teams to demonstrate a high level of play, and the fans to enjoy rugby (as well as the trains that run behind the eastern gates).

"Metalist 1925" entered the final round as champions. However, after a defeat in the cup competition, our girls understood that winning the fourth round was a matter of honor and dignity. Together with their coaches, they all wanted to prove that our team is the strongest in Ukraine. For the second time in a row in the Championship, the Kharkiv girls achieved "dry" victories in a specific round, winning 9 out of 12 matches. This time it was 32:0 and 34:0 against Lviv and Odessa, respectively. The "Lionesses" from Lviv became the vice-champions of Ukraine, and the "bronze" medalists were the girls from RC "Odessa".
