Midfielder of "Metalist 1925" Ihor Kohut commented on the friendly match with "Kolos-2", recalled his goal, and also talked about the importance of the victory:
— Ihor, a 3-1 victory in a friendly match against "Kolos-2". What are your overall impressions of the game?
— Overall, the impressions are positive. It was a good friendly game, the opponent was motivated, didn't allow us to play at a slow pace. So, I think this sparring will be beneficial for us.
— Did conceding a goal wake you up a bit?
— Firstly, it was my mistake. I lost concentration a bit and should have played simpler. As the game showed, this goal probably shook the team a bit - and after that, we started scoring.
— You mentioned a mistake. Did scoring a goal somewhat overshadow it, in your opinion?
— Yes, it did overshadow it, but I was disappointed with that silly mistake. Although, yes, it became a bit easier and calmer after the goal.
— Recall the attack when you scored the goal.
— The ball switched from the left flank to the right, then the pass reached Denys Antyukh. We practiced on training that the "number ten" should run into the penalty area. I saw him, and he saw me, gave a good pass. All I had to do was put the ball into the net.
— Overall, how important do you think victories are even in sparring matches during the weekly cycle?
— Winning is always important because that's how we train our mentality - to always win and prepare positively for the next match.
