Academy "Metalist 1925" suffered during the night shelling in Ukraine
Today, at around six o'clock in the morning, during the enemy's night shelling of Ukraine, the academy "Metalist 1925" was affected. The drone "Shahed" crashed on the training field rented by the club at the Olympic College named after Ivan Piddubny. As a result, a fire broke out, which was soon extinguished.
All the students of the academy "Metalist 1925", who are currently based, studying, and training in Kyiv — about 120 young football players — were in shelter during the alarm, so no one was hurt.
Currently, "Metalist 1925" together with the college management is assessing the damage caused by the shelling and already planning the quickest possible restoration of the football field.
The training and competitive process of the students of the academy "Metalist 1925" will continue according to the plan — on other fields.
