Nicholas Arevalo: "Metalist 1925" is an ambitious club

Colombian newcomer to "Metalist 1925" Nicolas Arevalo gave his first interview as a player of the Kharkiv team and shared his impressions of the new club, talked about his goals, conversation with Bartulovich, and addressed the fans:

– Nicolas, welcome to "Metalist 1925". What are your first impressions of the club?

– Congratulations, thank you very much. I can definitely say that my first impressions were extremely positive. "Metalist 1925" is an ambitious club with a clear organization that instills trust from the very first days.

– How did you first learn about the club's interest?

– I learned about the club's interest from my agent. When I heard about the project and felt the sincere interest from "Metalist 1925", I saw it as a great opportunity for myself.

– This is your first transfer in your career that happened straight to Europe.

– Yes, this is my first experience of playing outside my home country. Getting to Europe has always been one of my goals in football, and I felt that now is the best moment for it.

– Nicolas, be honest, did you have any concerns about the war in Ukraine?

– Definitely, I had some concerns about the situation. However, everything was explained in detail at the club, which gave me confidence and peace of mind when making the decision.

– What have you already learned about Ukraine, Kharkiv, and the UPL?

– I learned that in Ukraine, especially in Kharkiv, there are strong and extremely dedicated people, and the championship is distinguished by high competition and intense struggle.

– Have you had a chance to talk to Mladen Bartulovich? If so, what did you talk about, maybe the coach mentioned what position he sees you in?

– Yes, I have already had a conversation with the head coach. He emphasized the importance of full dedication and hard work and sees me as a player capable of strengthening the team's midfield line.

– What are your goals in "Metalist 1925"?

– My goal is to constantly progress in football, help the team, and together achieve the club's set tasks - both on a personal and team level.

– What would you like to say to the Kharkiv fans?

– Sincerely thank you all for the support I have already felt. I promise to give my all and do everything possible to repay the fans and the team of "Metalist 1925" with my game.
