It has been a little over two months since the last official match of the "Metalist 1925" youth team against "Obolon". During this time, our team managed to rest and have intensive training camps in Shchaslyve and Uzhhorod.

As for the squad changes, Ruslan Tkachenko and Daniil Pilhanchuk were loaned to the First League team "Proboi", and the team was joined by 16-year-old goalkeeper Oleksandr Tomin. In addition, for the second half of the season, players from the "Metalist 1925" U-17 team were registered: Vladyslav Borysenko, Hlib Honchar, Daniil Yeriomenko, Dmytro Pushkalov, and Kostiantyn Subota.

The teams have met five times in official matches. In the 2022/2023 season, there was a draw - 0:0 on the opponent's field, and "Metalist 1925" lost - 0:1 at home. In the 2023/2024 season, the teams exchanged away victories, with Kharkiv winning in Kryvyi Rih - 4:3 and losing in Shchaslyve - 1:3. This season, in the 2nd round match, "Kryvbas" celebrated a minimal victory thanks to Bodnar's goal in the 16th minute.

Before the reporting round, "Metalist 1925" U-19 has 25 points and is in 6th place, while our future opponent has 21 points and is in 12th place.
