Denys Antyukh: "We need to work on implementation"

The flank midfielder of "Metalist 1925" Denys Antyuk commented on the victory over "Oleksandriya" and also talked about changing his position:

Denys, congratulations on the victory. Finally, in the second match, we managed to win. What are your emotions now, as the match was tough?

Thank you, the emotions are positive. We were really looking forward to this victory - it is very important for us. After the break, we needed to win to continue with victories.

Today you played on the left flank - unusual for you, as you usually play on the right. What was the reason for this coaching decision?

We analyzed the opponent, and the coaching staff decided so.

Were you comfortable playing on the left in general? How did you feel?

I felt good. I can say that it didn't matter to me - to play on the left or on the right.

About the game itself. It seemed that in the first 15 minutes you could score, had a solid advantage, but it didn't work out, and then the game leveled off a bit.

I think we had a lot of chances in the first half. We completely outplayed the opponent and should have closed the game in the first half, but we need to work on finishing.

Do you think the episode with the canceled penalty in the first half could somehow affect the game?

No, I don't think it had any impact on the game.

How important is it to gain such a victory before the cup match?

Every victory is important before each subsequent game. Now we will prepare for the next match during the week with good emotions - this is very important.

But admit it, did you expect that due to the opponent's position in the table today everything would be easier than it turned out on the field?

We prepare for each opponent because every game is difficult in its own way. There are no easy matches. We didn't go out relaxed and didn't think we had to win 100%. We prepared, analyzed the opponent, and approached it as if it were the last game.
