"Metalist 1925" U-15 - fifth in "Utmost Cup"
From March 5th to 8th, the traditional tournament "Utmost Cup" among players born in 2011 took place in Vinnytsia. A total of 20 teams competed for the victory, including the players from the "Metalist 1925" academy under the guidance of Serhiy Lebediev.
In the group stage, our boys defeated Vinnytsia's "Niva" and the capital's "Atlet", and played a draw with "UFK-Kryvbas". In the quarterfinals, despite having a gameplay advantage, they drew with Vinnytsia's "Niva-YASKO" - 1:1, but luck was on the side of the hosts in the penalty shootout. And in the match for the fifth place against "Zmina", there was no clear winner in regular time, but our boys were more accurate in the penalty shootout.
