Yevhen Nazarov: "Every match should be a celebration for young players"
The head coach of "Metalist 1925" U-19 Yevhen Nazarov shared his impressions after the victorious match against "Poltava" U-19 (2:0):
— Congratulations on the victory! What are your emotions after the game?
— The emotions are positive. We wanted to achieve a winning result before the break for the national team matches, and I am glad that the team succeeded. Now we can calmly prepare for the next game.
— You made three substitutions at once. Did you want to change something in the attack or was it planned?
— These substitutions were planned. We wanted to refresh our game in the attack, and also give playing time to the players who had a tough match against "Shakhtar" three days ago.
— Did the players feel confident after scoring the first goal?
— Overall, the game in the first half was going well for us, but unfortunately, we only managed to score one goal. The end was a bit nervous, as the opponent tried by all means to get the ball into our penalty area. It's good that the defenders coped with their duties.
— What conclusions can be drawn before the next game? Did this victory add motivation?
— I think young footballers always have motivation. They are engaged in their favorite activity, striving to become professionals. Therefore, every game should be a celebration for them and an additional incentive to develop.
