Yevhen Pavlyuk: "We were one team"

After the victorious match against "Dynamo" Yevhen Pavlyuk commented on the team's game and his actions in an unusual position in the center of midfield:

— Yevhen, congratulations on the victory. A minimal victory over "Dynamo" is an important result for the team. What are your emotions after the match?

— Thank you for the congratulations. We really wanted this victory. We prepared for it the whole week. It was a good game. We were united, we were one team. We endured in defense. We had one moment in the game - we used it. We used it and, thank God, we won today.

— Today you played in the defensive midfielder position. How do you assess your game?

— I don't know, I can't assess. But I'll be honest: this position is not unfamiliar to me, I just haven't played there in a long time, probably two years. So it was unusual. Some moments were pointed out to me during the break, and I think the second half turned out better than the first. I'm glad I helped the team. We won, but we are waiting for our captain in the next game. I think he will help us.

— Arevalo also helped you in defense. Was it a setup to act as a pair?

— Yes, that was our task with Arevalo. He played more in attack, but in defense, we acted as two defensive players. In the second half, Vanya Lytvynenko came on and helped us a lot. It was a bit easier for me with him because we speak the same language. It's a bit more difficult with Arevalo, we understand each other, but not as well as with Ivan.

— The president entered the dressing room after the final whistle. What is the atmosphere in the team?

— He said that today we were a team, that we were professionals. And that's true. We withstood the pressure from "Dynamo" at the beginning of the first and second halves. And I want to thank our opponent - they played a good match. But, thank God, today the victory is ours.
