Peter Etebo: "I did what I had to do as a forward"

The forward of "Metalist 1925" Peter Itodo commented on the crushing victory over "Veres" and talked about his hat-trick:

— Today "Metalist 1925" showed a great performance. Was this meeting crucial after that December match that couldn't be finished?

— Previously, due to understandable problems, we didn't play that match. Now in theory, the coach told us that we shouldn't need extra motivation to go out and play, we just know what to do. We needed to play good football, win for the fans, the team, for ourselves, and everything will be fine for everyone. And it happened.

— Great goals, congratulations on the hat-trick, is this your first hat-trick in your career?

— Not the first hat-trick, I scored in one club, then in another club. Today, it seems, I completed my third hat-trick.

— But still, for "Metalist 1925" this is the first hat-trick, maybe you'll keep something as a keepsake?

— Now I will go to the locker room, give each player a ball to sign. Then, I will show it to everyone and say that they scored three goals with it (laughs).

— Let's talk a bit about the goals. The last one was simply magnificent, as you scored coming from midfield and hit the opponent's goal.

— Every day you understand that goals should come. You just need to score. I know that this situation was one in a million. It needed to be executed perfectly, and I did what I had to do as a forward.

— Peter, what inspired you for this match? Maybe you ate something new, unusual that gave you energy?

— We did very important work before the game. Masseurs warmed us up, we all prepared and kept our focus. The entire medical staff worked. It was a great job to make us feel fresh before this match.
