Mladen Bartulovich: "Lost important points"

Comment from the head coach of "Metalist 1925" Mladen Bartulovich after the match against "Zorya":

— The team lost the victory in the last minutes. What was missing today?

— Yes, of course, very disappointing. We lacked a second goal. We had many opportunities to score again and close this match. But the score remained minimal, and the opponent relied on set pieces - they have many tall players. They used one of those moments and equalized the score. I believe we started the match well, pressed actively, and created problems for the opponent. But I repeat again: we needed to score a second goal and close the game.

— Why couldn't you convert your chances?

— Somewhere the goalkeeper played well, somewhere there was a lack of accuracy in finishing. In the end - a draw, and it's very disappointing for us because we lost important points.

— There were many changes in the starting lineup. What was the reason for them?

— The guys work well in training. After the previous match, everyone shows a good level and deserves to play in the starting lineup. We have a tight schedule - three matches per week. We play against "Karpaty" on Tuesday, then the next game is against "Epicenter" on Saturday. So we give everyone the opportunity, utilizing the squad to the maximum.

— What can you say about Ihor Kohut's condition after the collision?

— He is feeling better now. There was an unpleasant collision in that episode, he had a headache, so he couldn't continue the match. We had to make a substitution, and it also affected the game.

— How do you evaluate the substitutions in the second half?

— The calculation was that there would be more space, and we could use it with fast players. We had moments after that. But, unfortunately, we didn't convert them and conceded at the end.

— Three matches ahead, minimal gap from the fourth place. Are you thinking about moving up in the table?

— There are three matches left, and we are tuning in only for victory in each one. Just like today. We will go out and play to the maximum in every game.
