Natalia Zinchenko: "It was difficult, but there was desire and dedication"
Head coach of the women's team "Metalist 1925" Natalia Zinchenko commented on the final match of the championship against "Shakhtar", which ended in a 2-2 draw:
- The match didn't go well from the very beginning. Although we scored an early goal, there were no more chances in the first half. Perhaps fatigue from the previous game played a role, or the hot weather also took its toll. I think "Shakhtar" wanted to win more. Many thanks to the girls for not giving up and playing until the end. It was difficult for us, but there was desire and dedication.
- What does winning the championship mean to you personally?
- For me, this is the first championship after a break, after working with "Vorskla". It's been a long time since a team from Kharkiv has won the "gold". This triumph is very important to me, as this city means a lot to me. I sincerely rejoice for the girls. Thank you all: management, coaching and medical staff, media service, and everyone who worked for this result.
- The team still has the final match of the Ukrainian Cup ahead. How will you prepare for it?
- Right now, we need to rest a bit. I think everyone understands - no additional tuning is needed. In a day or two, we will start preparing for this game.
