Vice President of FC Kharkiv: At least five footballers will join the team in the summer

Vice President of FC Kharkiv Yuriy Korotun commented on the team's performance last season and explained the reasons for changing the club's name and updating the emblem.

According to the official, the club did not set the goal of qualifying for European competitions, so evaluating the season solely based on this result is incorrect.

"This season we never announced the goal of European competitions. Journalists do not have the right to evaluate Bartulovich's work through the prism of not qualifying for European competitions because we did not announce it. Just a year ago, we celebrated the victory over the Left Bank and promotion to the UPL. We finished 5th and stopped just a step away from the final, it's a tragedy, but I can't say that we didn't accomplish the task. We solidified our position in the UPL and count this season as a success," Korotun noted.

Korotun also talked about the club's transfer plans for the summer break. According to him, the team is preparing for active work in the market.

"If contracts are ending, I think the minimum number of new players will be 5. There is currently a lot of work being done in the sports department - both the sports director and the president are personally involved in negotiations for new players. Unfortunately, I can't confirm, except for one, because there are no real facts. And this one, I think, will see five," Korotun said.

FC Kharkiv finished last season in 5th place in the Ukrainian championship and reached the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup.
