FC "Kharkiv" and "Sisters" learned their opponents in the selection
On June 18 at 16:00 in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the Q1 and Q2 qualification of the UEFA Women's Champions League 2026/27 took place.
Both teams - FC "Kharkiv" and "Sisters" Odesa - will start their journey from the second qualifying round (Q2). FC "Kharkiv" (formerly Metalist 1925) as the champion of Ukraine will compete in Q2 qualification via the Champions Path. Odessa club Sisters (second place in the UWL) will start in the second qualifying round via the League Path.
The following pairs and mini-tournaments of round Q2 were formed by the draw
Round Q2 of the qualification. Champions Path. Mini-tournament 5:
- Semifinal SF1: FC "Kharkiv" (Ukraine) - Fenerbahçe (Turkey);
- Semifinal SF2: Leuven (Belgium) - TSC Backa Topola (Serbia);
- Final: winner of SF1 - winner of SF2.
Round Q2 of the qualification. League Path. Mini-tournament 4:
- Semifinal SF1: Sporting (Portugal) - FC "Sisters" (Ukraine);
- Semifinal SF2: St. Pölten (Austria) - Young Boys (Switzerland);
- Final: winner of SF1 - winner of SF2.
The first round of qualifying matches (Q1) will take place on July 22 and 25. The semifinals and finals of the second round (Q2) of the Women's Champions League qualification are scheduled for August 5 and 8. Only the winners of the mini-tournaments from the four teams will continue the battle in Q3, the third round (August 26 and September 2) for a place in the main stage.
Ukraine will be represented by three teams in women's European competitions for the second time. Kolos from Kovalivka will again play in the qualification of the second European Cup - the Cup Winners' Cup, similar to the men's Europa League.
