WFC "Kharkiv" will play against "Fenerbahce" in the Champions League
Today, June 18, the draw for the first and second qualifying rounds of the Women's Champions League took place.
WFC "Kharkiv" begins its European journey from the second round. The first opponent of our team in mini-tournament No. 5 will be the Turkish "Fenerbahçe".
If our team wins against the champion of Turkey, they will face the winner of the pair "Leuven" (Belgium) - "Bačka Topola" (Serbia). Only the winner of the mini-tournament will advance to the third and deciding qualification round.
The second place (advancement to the final of the mini-tournament) will allow "Kharkiv" to play in the second, final round of qualifying for the main part of the European Cup, the third place - in the first round; the fourth position (defeat in the match for third place) will mean the end of the European season for the team.
The semi-final matches will take place on August 5. The final match and the match for third place are scheduled for August 8.
The host team of the mini-tournament will be determined tomorrow.
It should be noted that this season in European competitions, the women's team will still compete under the old name "Metalist 1925".
