Oleksandr Yatsyk: "I will give my all"

The newcomer of "Kharkiv" Oleksandr Yatsyk gave his first interview as a player of the "city" team. The footballer shared his emotions about the transfer, recalled working together with Mladen Bartulovich, and addressed the fans:

– Rumors about Oleksandr Yatsyk moving to "Metalist 1925" and now to the football club "Kharkiv" have been circulating in the media for a long time. Can you reveal to us and all the fans when this interest from the club emerged? How long did you think about it?

– The specific interest arose two years ago. Back then, Bohdan Boyko called me and offered to join "Metalist 1925." I really liked the idea at that time; he told me how the club would develop, what ambitions it had, and they coincided with my ambitions.

– Why do you think this transfer campaign took so long?

– I don't know; that's not a question for me. I really wanted to make the move, it happened, and here I am.

– Being in the same team with Mladen Bartulovich again. He was also the initiator of this transfer. Have you talked to the coach yet? What did you discuss?

– Yes, we talked. He said he counts on me, but everything will depend on how I work.

– Did you discuss your tactical interaction on the field with your teammates? How does he see you, how does he want to use and integrate you into the team?

– We haven't talked about that yet. I think we'll discuss it during the training camp.

– It's worth watching your old goals for "Zorya." It was noticeable that when you celebrated, you often ran to Mladen Bartulovich. Can we conclude that you have such warm relations?

– I felt very comfortable working with him. He, so to speak, helped me develop in adult football.

– It's a very media-driven event now — the club's rebranding. You were supposed to move to "Metalist 1925," but ended up in the football club "Kharkiv." How do you feel about the change of colors, emblem, and overall? Your emotions and thoughts on this?

– I really like the new emblem, the colors are very nice, similar to AS Roma's, I like it.

– Have you become close friends or communicate with any of the players, now your teammates?

– Ilyukha Krupsky called me as soon as he found out that I would be transferring. We had a warm conversation, and I told him, "See you at the football club 'Kharkiv'."

– What goals do you set for yourself this season? Maybe you can share some personal or team goals as well?

– Let it be a surprise for the fans.

– Then address our fans. What greetings and message do you want to convey to them?

– I want to tell the fans that I will give my all and do everything to ensure the team wins and achieves positive results.

– The football club "Kharkiv" is very ambitious, sets high goals for itself, and strengthens the team. Do you understand that there will be quite a strong competition in the squad, are you ready for it?

– Yes, I think I am ready. I had good competition in my previous club, and I'm not afraid of it.
