Puddle outlines ambitions of "Kharkiv" after signing a new deal

FC "Kharkiv" has officially announced the extension of the contract with their captain Ivan Kalyuzhny. The new agreement with the 28-year-old midfielder is valid until the summer of 2030.


The club explained the decision to retain one of its leaders due to his stable progress, high level of play, and key role in the center of the field. In the debut season after the team's return to the UPL, Kalyuzhny became one of the most important players in Mladen Bartulovich's squad.


The captain himself admitted that negotiations regarding the new contract went smoothly, as the desire to continue cooperation was mutual.


"The club made me an offer, and we agreed on all the details. I agreed to sign a new contract. I am very happy at this club and very pleased with this event," said Kalyuzhny.


It is important that in "Kharkiv" Ivan is seen as one of the key players of the project, around whom they plan to build the team in the coming years.


The midfielder also shared the club's ambitions for the future. According to him, the team aims to establish itself among the leaders of Ukrainian football and compete for a place in European competitions.


"The goals are always the highest - to achieve the best possible results with the football club "Kharkiv". We want to be in the top three, and in the future - qualify for European competitions," said the captain.


Thus, "Kharkiv" not only retained their captain but also took another important step in forming a team that aims to be competitive in the fight for top positions in the UPL.
