"Kharkiv" offered Georgiy Yermakov a salary became known
The transfer of Ukrainian goalkeeper Georgiy Yermakov to "Kharkiv" is nearing completion. Meanwhile, Israeli media have revealed the financial details of the potential transfer.
According to a source, interest in Yermakov from the Kharkiv club arose as early as winter. "Maccabi" (Haifa) understood that retaining the goalkeeper would be difficult, as several clubs from Ukraine were actively interested in him.
It is reported that the Israeli club was prepared to offer the goalkeeper a new contract with a salary of around 400 thousand dollars per year, but the Kharkiv club made a much more advantageous offer.
According to the source, the Kharkiv club offered Yermakov around 600 thousand dollars "net" per season, which is almost three times his current earnings in Israel.
As for the transfer fee, initially "Kharkiv" was planning to complete the transfer for approximately 2 million euros, but "Maccabi" demanded a much higher compensation. Later it was reported that the Israeli club wanted to receive 5 million euros, while the Ukrainian side was willing to pay around 3 million.
As of now, the official announcement of Georgiy Yermakov's transfer to "Kharkiv" has not been made, but all recent reports indicate that the deal is in the final stages of completion.
