The head coach of the youth team "Kharkiv" Yevheniy Nazarov - about the first victory of the season, the forced break due to prolonged air alarm, and the emotions after the final whistle:
- Congratulations on the first victory of the season! What are your emotions right now?
- Thank you! The emotions are definitely positive. Again, we played for two days, and we understand the load on our footballers. But what can we do? We are living in these realities now.
- The team waited for this victory for six rounds. How important was it to finally get three points?
- You must understand that we were not waiting for the victory. We work, we train. I have said before that we have the youngest team in the National U-19 League - and that's true. So the guys are gradually getting used to new realities, new demands, to more physical battles. It's a process, and we continue to work.
- The match started yesterday, but was finished today due to a prolonged air alarm. How psychologically difficult was it to prepare the team for the second day of the game?
- For us, this is also a new experience, I can say. So it was pleasing that today, right after this break, the guys came out more charged. We, the coaching staff, also understood how we needed to act, and started playing more aggressively than yesterday. Perhaps for the opponent, this was some unpleasant surprise. So this time the break worked in our favor.
- Today, the only goal from a penalty brought the victory. How difficult was it to maintain the minimal advantage until the final whistle?
- Of course, there was tension. The opponent was going all out, trying to rely on luck somewhere, sending balls into the penalty area. There was a lot of struggle, clashes, emotions, appeals to the referees. So it was quite difficult to maintain this advantage. It is pleasing that the footballers coped with this tension and excitement and brought the match to victory.
