Salenko predicts the outcomes of all matches of the 6th round of the UPL: "Dynamo cannot afford to lose more points"

Former Dynamo forward Oleg Salenko exclusively for "UF" shared his forecast for all matches of the 6th round of the UPL and talked about possible financial problems of FC Kharkiv.

On Friday, September 11, the sixth round of the elite football division of our country - the Ukrainian Premier League - will start.

Journalist of the website "Ukrainian Football" Viktor Glukhenkyi, before the battles on the domestic fields, talked about the upcoming matches with the authoritative expert - former Dynamo Kyiv striker and the top scorer of 1994 Oleg Salenko.

"FC Kharkiv may fall apart - they currently have very serious financial problems".

– Oleg, five rounds of the UPL have already been played in the current season, so certain conclusions can already be drawn. What are your impressions of the start of the 2026/27 championship?

– In my opinion, the start of the UPL went without any special sensations. And for some reason, some teams clearly were not ready for the championship - they are currently at the bottom of the standings.

I think the sensations in the UPL will start soon because Shakhtar has already started playing in the Champions League. It seems to me that the Donetsk team will play with two squads: conditionally, the second will play in the UPL, the main one - in the Euro arena. Accordingly, "Shakhtar" may lose points.

And Dynamo may surprise, unpleasantly, though... And also, as far as I know, one of the UPL clubs currently has very serious financial problems.

– Which club are you talking about?

– This is FC Kharkiv. They may fall apart...

And regarding Dynamo, I continue my thought.

Oleg Salenko: "Karpaty are on the move now. A very good team has formed in the Lviv club. Therefore, I see Lviv residents as favorites in this game. On the other hand, Kolos in the new season... It's so-so. However, they have a good coach. Ruslan Kostyshyn can shake up the team.

Although I said that I see Karpaty as the game's favorite, I will bet that the match will end in a 1:1 draw."

Oleg Salenko: "LNZ is an unequivocal favorite. There is nothing to talk about. I think the Cherkasy team will confidently win 2:0. Vitaliy Ponomaryov's team plays well in defense, so I bet on their 'clean' victory. Dynamo couldn't score against them, I don't think Obolon, who hasn't scored against anyone this season, will be able to either."
