The midfielder of the football club "Kharkiv" Matviy Panchenko has injured the meniscus of his knee joint and will be out for a long period.
During a training camp in Austria, Matviy Panchenko got injured in one of the training sessions. Following the examination, the player was diagnosed with a meniscus injury. The footballer has already undergone surgery in Munich.
Artur Glushenko, Director of the Sports Medicine Department:
- Indeed, Matviy has suffered an injury: a meniscus injury of the knee joint. An immediate decision was made to transport the player to a clinic in Munich, which is considered one of the leading clinics in Europe. Accordingly, this morning Panchenko underwent knee surgery. We expect the recovery process to take 3-4 months.
The football club "Kharkiv" wishes Matviy Panchenko a speedy recovery and return to the football field.
