Valeriy Dubko: "We need to work on defense"

Defender of "Kharkiv" Valeriy Dubko shared his impressions after a sparring match with Austrian "Wolfsberger" as part of the team's preparation for the season:

— Valeriy, what are your first impressions of this sparring match?

— Good day. My impressions? We played quite well in attack, scored three goals, although there were many opportunities to increase the score. We need to work on defense to concede fewer goals.

— It seemed like the referee made up the penalty, and that moment was crucial.

— In my opinion, there was no penalty because initially our player touched the ball, and then the opponent's player kicked his leg. As for the referee "dampening" us - I don't think so. All the guys are motivated, they want to prove to themselves and the coaching staff that they are ready to play at any time.

— It's evident - the guys are charged up for work. Today, Mladen Bartulovich didn't exactly rotate, but provided an opportunity for everyone to get practice. Today, both Baton Zabergja and Baptiste were in the spotlight, as they both made goal assists and scored.

— Yes, they should be scoring, as they are attacking players.

— How are the loads feeling? Half of the training camp is behind you. Initially, you played under heavy loads, how about now? Are you approaching your optimal form?

— You could say so. Strength is already appearing in the legs, endurance is improving. We work diligently every day and try to progress.
