"This is a childhood dream": Krupsky commented on rumors about the call-up to the national team
FC Kharkiv defender and Ukrainian youth national team player Ilya Krupsky shared his thoughts on a possible call-up to the national team.
During the summer training camp of Kharkiv players in Austria, representatives of the Ukrainian national team coaching staff led by Andrea Maldera visited the team. After that, the footballer commented on the discussions surrounding his potential debut in the country's main team.
According to Krupsky, playing for the national team is his long-standing dream. The defender admitted that he is already tired of constant rumors in the media and hopes to receive a real call-up to the national team soon.
“It's a childhood dream. Of course, I want to join the national team. I would like not just to read about it, but to actually be called up. I will work and wait for my chance,” the footballer said.
Last season, the 21-year-old defender played 30 matches for Kharkiv in all competitions and scored one goal.
