UAF Arbitration Committee has started preparing match officials for the 2026/2027 season

According to the training program for the season, training camps for referees and assistant referees have started.

Referees who will officiate matches of women's and professional men's football clubs participated in the training program approved by the head of the UAF Referees Committee, Katerina Monzul.

The first officials to start training were the officials of women's matches. The training camp, led by Mykhailo Ovchar, took place in Lviv from July 8th to 11th. It was attended by 14 female referees and 26 assistant referees.

The training program included studying the changes to the Rules of the Game for the 2026/2027 season, a detailed analysis of refereeing in matches from the previous season, testing on knowledge of the Rules of the Game, and taking the FIFA physical fitness test.

The next stage of training was the training camp for officials of matches in the Second League of the Ukrainian Professional Football League, which took place from July 12th to 14th, 2026, at the Football House in the capital. Yuri Mozharovsky was responsible for organizing and conducting the camp.

During the training, participants familiarized themselves with the latest changes to the Rules of the Game, analyzed refereeing in matches of the spring part of the Second League of the PFL championship, and discussed current issues in preparation for the new season.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the Football Video Support (FVS) refereeing system in the matches of the First League of the PFL. The head of the UAF Referees Committee, Katerina Monzul, outlined the prospects for the development of this direction and emphasized that Second League referees would be involved in matches using FVS as fourth officials.

All participants of the camp successfully passed the test on knowledge of the Rules of the Game and met the FIFA physical fitness test standards.
