The head coach of Jablonec (Czech Republic) Lyubosh Kozel summed up the friendly match against FC Kharkiv, in which his team secured a narrow victory with a score of 1:0. The only goal in the match was scored by forward Jan Hramosta.
According to the coach, the beginning of the match turned out to be difficult for his players. The team was late for the match due to traffic jams, which negatively affected the start of the game.
“The victory is pleasant and important for us. At the beginning of the match, we did not look our best, as we stood in traffic for about twenty minutes on the way to the stadium. We were lucky not to concede during this period. After the twentieth minute, we managed to level the game, although the quality of our decisions remained imperfect.
We performed much better in the second half, gradually taking control of the match and converting our advantage into a goal. After that, we practically did not allow the opponent anything. At the same time, we understand that we still lack quality in attack, so we will work on this in training or perhaps strengthen the squad,” Kozel said.
It is worth noting that the friendly match was the final one for Jablonec during their summer training camp in Austria before the start of the new season and European cup qualifications. For FC Kharkiv, this match was another test as part of their preparation for the new season of the Ukrainian Premier League.
