Ukrainian national football team dropped in the updated FIFA ranking
On Monday, July 20, FIFA published an updated ranking of national football teams on its official website after the 2026 World Cup.
Ukraine, which did not participate in the World Cup, dropped one spot and is currently in 33rd place. South Korea (down 7 positions) is ahead of the "blue-yellow" team, with Paraguay breathing down our necks. Both teams participated in the World Cup: the Koreans did not advance from the group stage, while the Latin Americans reached the round of 16, where they lost to France.
Spain climbed to the top of the FIFA ranking after defeating Argentina (1:0) in the final of the 2026 World Cup. As a result, "albiceleste" dropped to second place. France completed the top 3 by beating England (4:6) in the bronze medal match.
Mexico entered the top 10, while Germany dropped out. Norway also made significant progress, jumping up 12 spots.
