Will the limit on legionnaires not change? "Kharkiv" abstained during the vote
As journalist Igor Burbas reports, today a meeting of UPL clubs took place regarding changes to the competition regulations. The issue of changing the limit on foreign players in the 2026/27 season was discussed during the meeting.
According to a source, the majority, namely nine clubs, voted in favor of returning to the previous version (mandatory simultaneous presence of four Ukrainians on the field). "Shakhtar", "Kryvbas", LNZ, "Polissya", and "Veres" voted against. Two more clubs - "Kharkiv" and "Kudrovka" - abstained.
It is worth noting that "Polissya" previously advocated for the abolition of the relaxation of the limit on foreign players but has now changed its decision.
