Journalist and insider Igor Burbas shared information in his Telegram channel "BurBuzz" about the decisions made by LNZ and Polissya regarding the possible rescheduling of their opening matches in the new season of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Important! LNZ and Polissya are participating in the second round of the Conference League qualification.

According to the updated version of the UPL Regulations, clubs representing Ukraine in the qualification of European cup tournaments have the right to reschedule two of their matches in the first three rounds of the championship to a later date.

Kyiv's Dynamo, which advanced to the second round of the Europa League qualifiers and will play against Greek PAOK on July 23 and 30, has already used this option and rescheduled their match against the capital's Livyi Bereh to December 2, which was initially planned for August 2.

On the other hand, Donetsk's Shakhtar has no reason to reschedule their matches as they have advanced to the main round of the Champions League due to their higher position in the club rankings and have no matches in this tournament until September.

According to Burbas, LNZ and Polissya have decided not to reschedule their matches and will start the new championship according to their original game schedule.

"LNZ and Polissya decided to start as planned. As far as I know, unlike Dynamo, these European cup participants will not reschedule their matches of the first round of the UPL. Dynamo has already used this option and decided to play the first-round match against Livyi Bereh at the beginning of December."

Who will LNZ and Polissya play against in the second round of the Conference League qualification?

LNZ will face Belgian Gent. The matches will take place on July 23 and 30 at 21:30 Kyiv time.

Polissya will play against Danish Copenhagen. The matches will be held on July 23 and 29 at 21:00 and 20:00 Kyiv time respectively.

Both Ukrainian clubs will nominally play their first matches at home. Vitaliy Ponomaryov's team will host their opponents in Plock, Poland, while Ruslan Rotan's team will play in Kosice, Slovakia.
