Former head of the Football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko detained in Slovakia
In Bratislava, a former high-ranking official of the Football Federation of Ukraine, who was wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, has been detained. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko.
"According to the investigation, the detained person organized a scheme to withdraw almost UAH 295 million from the Federation through controlled commercial structures. The Football Federation of Ukraine and its regional branches suffered multimillion-dollar losses," the statement said.
In 2024-2025, two independent audit firms ("AC Crow Ukraine" and "Bakertilly") conducted a financial audit of the activities of the UAF for the period 2015-2023. Auditors recorded a significant outflow of funds. The Ukrainian Football Association expects the return of these funds to Ukrainian football.
