Ukraine lost its position in the UEFA coefficients table

Ukrainian clubs had a challenging Eurocup week, as a result of which our country lost one position in the UEFA coefficient table. Three representatives of Ukraine fought for important points in the European tournament qualifiers, but not everyone managed to secure a victory.

At the same time, teams from countries directly competing with Ukraine in the ranking played their matches. It was their results that significantly influenced the final placement of national teams in the table.

Ukrainian clubs earned only one point out of a possible three. Polissya drew with Copenhagen - 3:3, while LNZ finished their match against Gent without scoring any goals - 0:0. These two results allowed Ukraine to add 0.25 points to the rating, which is a third of the maximum score for the week.

The third Ukrainian participant in the Eurocup week - Dynamo - failed to contribute to the national treasury. The Kyiv team lost to Greek PAOK with a score of 2:3. As a result, Ukraine missed the opportunity to close in on the nearest competitors and instead lost a position in the ranking.

At the end of the game week, Austria surpassed Ukraine, returning to a higher place in the coefficient table. This development was quite expected, as all three Austrian clubs won their matches.

Sturm, Rapid, and Austria demonstrated the maximum result by winning all three matches. Although these teams are not among the European giants, they have sufficient experience in international tournaments, are well-organized, and can consistently pass through the early qualifying stages.

Thanks to three victories in one week, Austria increased its advantage over Ukraine by 0.35 points. This lead was enough for the Austrians to surpass our country in the coefficient table.
