Defender of "Kharkiv" and the Ukrainian national team Ilya Krupsky commented on the words of the chief expert in arbitration of the Ukrainian Football Association Nicola Rizzoli regarding the unawarded penalty kick in the goal of Donetsk's "Shakhtar".
The Italian expert acknowledged the mistake of the main referee, who should have punished the player of the "miners" and put an 11-meter shot into the goal of the Donetsk team, but made the wrong decision.
"As they say, after the fight, they don't wave their fists. We understood perfectly during the game that there was a 100% penalty kick. During the break, the coaching staff confirmed this to us, and the guys themselves managed to review the replay.
We approached the main referee and asked: "Did you see this moment?" He replied: "Guys, I didn't see anything, everything was decided by VAR." So in this situation, the question is not so much to the referee on the field as to the video assistants.
They reviewed this episode, and in my opinion, they made a decision too quickly. They didn't even call the main referee to the monitor to personally assess the situation," Krupsky summed up.
