Kovalets included "Kharkiv" among the main contenders for UPL medals
The famous Ukrainian coach Serhiy Kovalec shared his impressions of the start of the new UPL season and separately noted "Kharkiv", which, in his opinion, is capable of competing for top places.
In his interview, Kovalec stated that after the first rounds, the championship maintains intrigue. Speaking about the main contenders for the medals, the specialist included the Kharkiv team among them.
"I think they will be "Shakhtar", "Polissya", "Dynamo", "Kharkiv" and "Karpaty"," Kovalec noted.
Separately, the coach mentioned the recent match of "Kharkiv" against "Shakhtar", which ended with a minimal victory for the "miners" - 1:0. According to Kovalec, the Kharkiv players did not deserve to lose based on their performance.
"In the last match, "Kharkiv" should not have lost to the "miners"," emphasized the specialist.
Kovalec also does not consider "Shakhtar" an indisputable favorite of the championship. According to him, Arda Turan's team will have a hard time defending the title due to playing in three tournaments at once, and anyone from the competitors can take advantage of this and interfere in the fight for the championship.
