Bohdan Boyko: "Categorically deny any involvement in illegal activities"

Due to the spread of information about me in the media and the alleged mention of my name in a criminal case related to the activities of illegal call centers, I consider it necessary to speak out personally.

I categorically deny any involvement in illegal activities, fraudulent call centers, or any schemes aimed at defrauding citizens.

I consider it crucial to emphasize: the mere mention of a person in criminal case materials or the quoting of individual conversation fragments is not evidence of guilt and cannot automatically indicate their involvement in a criminal offense. The legal assessment of specific facts and circumstances should be provided exclusively by the court in accordance with the law.

I am the president and co-owner of the football club "Kharkiv" and openly involved in the development of the sports project. At the same time, I own a financial company, the activities of which are under the supervision of the National Bank of Ukraine.

This means that the company's activities are carried out under state regulatory control, which includes assessing its financial condition, solvency, ability to fulfill obligations to clients and creditors, as well as monitoring compliance with the requirements established by law.

The financial company discloses information about its activities and financial condition as required by law. The state supervision system also involves a risk-based approach and increased attention to operations that may pose risks.

Based on the results of state supervision, I am not aware of any violations established against the company that would confirm its involvement in fraudulent activities or illegal operations.

Therefore, I consider any attempts to link me or my business to fraudulent schemes or illegal call centers unfounded.

I want to emphasize separately what I have been and continue to be engaged in over the past years.

From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, I have been systematically assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian military. This is my personal position and contribution to Ukraine's fight for freedom and independence.

After acquiring the football club "Kharkiv," I consciously chose a path of long-term investments in the development of the club and Ukrainian football.

A significant part of these investments is directed towards youth football - developing the academy, youth teams, football schools, training processes, and creating proper conditions for the preparation of young footballers.

It is crucial for me that the football club is not only a professional sports team but also an environment where children can engage in sports, receive quality training, develop, and see a perspective for a professional future.

I invest significant personal resources in this direction and plan to continue doing so.

I believe that assessing a person and their activities should be based on facts, documents, and decisions of competent authorities, rather than assumptions, individual quotes, or interpretations that may create a distorted view of the situation.

I respect the work of law enforcement agencies and am interested in ensuring that any circumstances related to me are verified and receive proper legal assessment.

At the same time, I will not allow unsubstantiated data or assumptions to be used to form a negative perception of me, my professional activities, the football club "Kharkiv," and the people who work on its development every day.

I reserve the right to defend my honor, dignity, and business reputation by all means provided by law, including through recourse to the court.

The same right applies to the football club "Kharkiv" in case of spreading information that does not correspond to reality and harms the club's reputation.

I call on journalists to responsibly handle the dissemination of information, verify facts, and refrain from drawing conclusions about a person's guilt until the completion of legal procedures and the corresponding court decision.
