The 1/16 finals match of the Ukrainian Cup between "Chernihiv" and "Trostyanets" will not take place on Thursday, September 17, due to an air raid alert and the threat of a Russian army strike.
The starting whistle of the main referee was supposed to sound at 11:00 Kyiv time, but the teams could not take the field at the Volodymyr Kuts Stadium.
The Ukrainian Football Association will inform separately about the new date and time of the match. "We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thank our defenders for each new day," wrote the Chernihiv club.
"Trostyanets" was stronger than "Kolos" Polonne in the 1/32 finals stage, defeating the amateur club with a score of 2:1. "Chernihiv" won against "LSTM" from Lutsk – 2:1.
