On Friday, September 18, the seventh round of the elite football division of our country - the Ukrainian Premier League - will start.

Journalist of the website "Ukrainian Football" Viktor Glukhenky discussed the upcoming matches with an authoritative expert - former defender of the Ukrainian national team and Kyiv Dynamo Vladislav Vashchuk.

"Dynamo players need to play through 'I can't', then there will be a result. Otherwise, nothing will work out."

– Vladislav, six rounds of the championship are already behind us. So, certain conclusions can be drawn. In your opinion, has a top three of teams emerged that will compete for medals and tickets to European competitions?

– So far, the teams at the top of the standings do not have a significant lead over the pursuers, and everything can change quite quickly - in two to three rounds. But I think that Shakhtar, Polissya, and Karpaty are most likely to continue fighting for the top three places.

– What about Dynamo? Will the Kyiv club remain without UPL awards for the second season in a row?

– Everyone who supports Dynamo always thinks only about the first place, wants to see the Kyiv team there, but today it lacks the class, the skill of the players to fight for it. Well, there are no players who can perform tasks and achieve high results.

– With the current game that Dynamo players demonstrate, they don't even dream of gold medals, am I understanding you correctly?

– Yes. I agree with your question or statement - with the current game that Dynamo demonstrates, there is no need to dream of medals... The footballers of the [Kyiv team] are not ready to play at a high level.

Dynamo players need to play through "I can't", as we did before, then there will be a result. Otherwise, nothing will work out. I hope that Dynamo will still fight for the top three, but... We'll see.
