Yevhen Nazarov: "These three points are very important for us, especially against a club like "Dynamo"

The head coach of the youth team "Kharkiv" Yevhen Nazarov shared his impressions after the victory over "Dynamo":

— Congratulations on the victory! How do you rate today's game?

— Thank you very much! We are not spoiled by victories, so these three points are very important for us, especially against such a club as Kyiv's "Dynamo", and away from home. We are very happy.

— The match ended with a score of 1:0. What was the key to the team's victory today?

— Indeed, we finally scored a goal from a set piece, from a corner. We work a lot on this, but unfortunately, it didn't work out before. Probably, this was one of the key moments. Plus, we played well on set pieces near our goal. And, of course, self-sacrifice. Yes, the opponent played with one player less, but we made them break the rules, which led to the sending off.

— How difficult was it to maintain the minimal advantage until the final whistle?

— Like in any game, when you win, it's not easy. But we didn't play to hold the score. In the second half, we pressed the opponent, understood that we needed to push the game away from our goal. We had moments to score another goal.

— Ahead is a break related to national team matches. How important is it to go on this break with such a victory?

— Of course, it's very important. When you win, it's easier to train and prepare. Moreover, there will be a break for national team matches now, so we will rest well and come back with renewed strength to the training process.

— What do you want to see from the team after returning from the break?

— I always repeat this, we are not fighting for points, seconds, minutes, or medals. We give our players who play for our club the opportunity to play and participate in competitions. We have a group of players who train with the U-21 team. These guys are younger than others, and they need game practice. We give it to them. This is very important. And football is a game, and like in any game, you want to win.
