Yevhen Nazarov: "The whole team wanted to win"
Senior coach of the youth team "Metalist 1925" Yevhen Nazarov about the victory of his players in the match against their peers from "Oleksandriya":
— It is difficult to unequivocally evaluate the game. It is pleasing that we achieved a positive result. There were no indifferent people on the football field - the whole team wanted to win: both those who started the game and the substitutes, even those who did not get playing time. This is heartening.
We created and scored two goals, had several good moments, went one-on-one, but, unfortunately, did not convert. We controlled the game, you could say, for one and a half halves. The ending was a bit nervous.
After the match with "Kryvbas" I said that I was very dissatisfied with the game. Today the emotions are a bit better - after all, there is a result. We play not only for the sake of the process. This is a game in which we want to win and demonstrate football, not just fight.
It is important for players under 19 to learn and improve. I would like them to show quality football, at least try to do so. Today there were some glimpses, but I would like us to be able to maintain this rhythm throughout the whole match, not just 60 minutes out of 90.
