Yevhen Pavlyuk "Very glad to have helped the team today and scored the first goal"

Defender of "Metalist 1925" Yevhen Pavlyuk summed up the victory over "Poltava" and talked about his debut goal:

— First goal for the new team, what are your feelings and emotions right now?

— Very good emotions. I have wanted this for a long time, I work a lot on this aspect of the game in training and practice headers. I am very happy that today I was able to help the team and score the first goal. I think the scored goal relaxed us a bit, but then in the second half we showed a good game and scored again.

— It seems to me that today you worked to the maximum both in defense and in attack.

— Thank you, every game is a new challenge for me, so I want to work to the maximum and show a good game in every match.

— Is heading the ball the result of training on set pieces? Tell us a bit more about it.

— Yes, we work a lot on it in training. We practice corners, crosses - everything once a week to score goals. I believe that set pieces are 50 percent of success.

— Speaking in general about the game, you had a very quick goal in the second minute that was not counted. And then you managed to open the score only towards the end of the first half, what was the hindrance? The game was quite tight and difficult, which was noticeable.

— We knew it would be such a game. Because the team from Poltava defends very well. They work, as we know, one-on-one, but we created a lot of chances, both in the first half and in the second half. Therefore, I believe that we deservedly won today, because we work hard in training to win every match.
