Preview: Mladen Bartulovich's team confidently started the championship: in the first six matches, they achieved 3 wins, 2 draws, and suffered only one defeat. In the end, "Metalist 1925" holds the 5th place in the standings with 11 points (goal difference: 9–4).

Interestingly, three players are the top scorers of the team: Ivan Kalyuzhnyi, Peter Itodo, and Ramik Gadzhiev scored two goals each. However, due to an injury, Gadzhiev will no longer help the team this year. Also, in the last game of the previous round, where the team won "Poltava" 2-0 away, Ari Moura got injured and is expected to be out for 4-5 months. Currently, Baton Zabergdja is also not ready to play as he is still in the infirmary. Oleg Mozil is also injured. And Matviy Panchenko will not help the team as he is part of the U-20 national team of Ukraine, which will start its journey at the World Cup on September 27 with a match against the South Korean team.

Looking back at the "yellow-blue" team's path in the Cup, in the previous stage, the team from Kharkiv defeated "Obolon" 2-0 in Zhytomyr. The goals were scored by Peter Itodo and Christian Mba.

"Kolos" from Polonne is an amateur team that currently competes in both the championship of the Khmelnytskyi region and the amateur championship of Ukraine. In the regional championship, things are going well for Sergey Badrak's team: they hold the 3rd place with three games in hand (22 points, goal difference: 52–0). However, the start in the amateur championship of Ukraine was not successful: three losses in the initial rounds and only one victory in the last game against "Kostopil" 3-1. As a result, after four rounds, "Kolos" is only in 8th place with three points (goal difference: 5–7).

In their debut in the Ukrainian Cup, the team from Polonne started their journey from the qualifying round, where they won at home against "Agron" from Velyki Hai (0-0 in regular time and 5-3 in a penalty shootout). In the 1/32 finals, Badrak's team faced another amateur opponent - "Naftovik" from Dolyna. "Kolos" again played to a goalless draw in regular time and won in a penalty shootout 4-1.
