Denys Antyukh: "We are not looking at the tournament table yet"
The midfielder of "Metalist 1925" Denys Antyuk commented on his winning goal in the game against "Kolos" on UPL.TV, explained why he did not celebrate after scoring, and talked about the team's preparation for the upcoming match against "Dynamo":
- Congratulations. You just had recovery procedures. As Mladen Bartulovich mentioned, after three matches in the last week, your legs must have felt heavy, right?
- Well, yes, there were three matches, plus the road back and forth, so recovery is crucial.
- Today you started from the beginning, scored against "Kolos" - not a strange team for you. Your joy was very restrained. This is your first goal for Kharkiv, but it's special. Recall it.
- Well, first of all, the main thing is the victory. This game was very important for us. I scored against my former team, I've been there, so I didn't celebrate. I have great respect for the people there, that's why it turned out that way.
- Recall this particular goal, how it happened, because it was very difficult for Kharkiv to approach the opponent's goal. We know the defense of the "yellow-blues," we know the defense of "Kolos."
Both teams have strong defenses and concede very few goals. How did you manage to win today?
- It was a tough game. Firstly, "Kolos" wanted to win, we also wanted to win. The situation in the standings... Regarding the goal, there was a cross, I don't know, maybe I had a hunch, because I ran not to the far post, but to the penalty spot - and it worked.
- After you scored, Mladen Bartulovich immediately substituted you. Did you not have the strength to finish the game?
- Yes, I had the strength, but it was the coach's decision.
- Now a match against "Kolos," the next game is against "Dynamo." What are the team's preparations, considering where you are in the standings?
- We are not looking at the standings yet. We prepare for each match and move from game to game. Now it's "Kolos," next is "Dynamo." We will prepare, we have a week for that, and we will play.
