Historical background: FC "Agrobusiness" was founded at the initiative of Oleg Sobutsky, the founder of the club's General sponsor - LLC "Agrobusiness". The idea of a new team united well-known people in Volochysk, especially since in 2016 the main team of the district - Volochysk "Zbruch" ceased to exist. In its first year of existence, "Agrobusiness" initially became the vice-champion of Ukraine among amateurs, losing to "Balkans" from the village of Zorya in the Odessa region in the final, and later became the champion of the Khmelnytsky region. At the end of the AAFU Championship 2016/2017, "Agrobusiness" confidently took the first place in group "1", and in the final defeated "Metalist 1925", which was the first meeting of the teams. That same year, FC "Agrobusiness" started the certification process to obtain professional status. The desired document was received by the club from Khmelnytsky region in June, and just a month later, they debuted in competitions under the auspices of the Professional Football League. The season in the Second League, like the previous one in the amateur league, was "golden". They first won the group, then defeated SC "Dnipro-1" and became the absolute champions of the division. The debut season in the First League was not successful. The team only managed to win three games and finished 13th in the table. Since then, "Agrobusiness" has been a regular participant in competitions in the First League.
