"Metalist 1925" calls on "Veres" and its representatives to refrain from populist statements. The situation with the unfinished match of the 15th round of the UPL is already under consideration by the CDC, which will determine the further fate of the match in accordance with the regulations. It is this body that will determine whether there has been a violation of the regulations by our club, whether unforeseen circumstances have occurred, and whether this was due to the fault of the club, as provided for by the regulatory norms and disciplinary rules of the UAF.
We draw attention to the fact that public calls to decide the fate of the match by voting of UPL clubs, rather than by the relevant body for football justice - the CDC, are manipulative, have no legal basis, and violate both the principles of the football justice bodies and the activities of the UPL. Currently, the UPL Directorate has referred this issue for consideration specifically to the CDC of the UAF, and any absurd one-sided proposals from "Veres" and imaginary changes to the Regulations will not in any way affect the consideration of the issue, as the law does not have retroactive effect. Unlike "Veres," we only ask to act within the regulatory norms and disciplinary rules.
We emphasize separately: widespread claims about alleged lack of power supply at the stadium, malfunctioning or absent generator - do not correspond to reality. "Metalist 1925" has never made such official statements. Instead, the statements of our club were related to adhering to the sporting principle of competition and readiness to bear the costs of logistics for the football club "Veres," which we do not refuse.
We have clearly explained: due to energy problems in Ukraine, there was a voltage surge at the stadium in Zhytomyr, which caused the electrical equipment (fuses, circuit breakers, and other system elements) to malfunction. This made it impossible to ensure stable power supply to the stadium from both the grid and the generator - which, we emphasize, was operational and tested on the day of the match, as confirmed by relevant documents.
All documents and official conclusions from specialized services regarding the situation with the electrical supply of the "Central City Stadium" in Zhytomyr were timely submitted by "Metalist 1925" to the CDC, and our football club is currently awaiting a fair decision from the committee.
