Today representatives of the "Pomsta" border brigade visited the training of "Metalist 1925".
Our club handed over a certificate to the military in the amount of 964,050 hryvnias - funds collected from the sale of tickets for the home matches of "Metalist 1925" in the first part of the season. This money will be used for the needs of the brigade, which carries out combat missions in key areas of the front.
In response, the "Pomsta" soldiers presented the club with a symbolic ship made by hand from bullet casings - as a sign of gratitude, mutual respect, and unity.
— We understand that football today is not just a game. It is an opportunity to help, support, and stand by those who defend our country every day. Each ticket purchased by a fan is a contribution to the common cause, and we are proud to be able to pass on this support to our defenders, — said the general director of "Metalist 1925" Anton Ivanov.
— I want to thank on behalf of all our servicemen who are serving in our area of responsibility. This certificate is not just numbers. It is an indicator of your responsibility, your understanding of how important it is to support the defenders of Ukraine. We wish "Metalist 1925" to be accurate, to avoid injuries, and always win, — noted the deputy commander of the "Pomsta" brigade Mykola Naholiuk.
During 2025, "Metalist 1925" provided assistance to the border guards in the total amount of 8 million hryvnias. The club will continue to systematically support Ukrainian defenders together with the team and fans.
