FC "Metalist 1925" has reviewed the statement of FC "Polissya" and supports the initiative for the need for strategic changes in the development of the refereeing corps of Ukrainian football.
Our club closely monitors events related to refereeing in matches of the Ukrainian Premier League and joins the appeal of the Zhytomyr club to the head of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko and the head of the UAF Referees Committee Kateryna Monzul regarding gross and decisive mistakes made by the referees, which occurred in the match of the 19th round of UPL "Polissya" - "Dynamo" in particular, and in other matches of the Ukrainian Premier League.
Systematic mistakes by referees that affect match results lead to a decrease in trust in the institution of refereeing from clubs, players, and fans.
We are convinced that Ukrainian football needs transparent and consistent decisions that will ensure objectivity and fairness on the field.
FC "Metalist 1925" advocates for open dialogue and supports steps aimed at improving the quality of refereeing, transparency of processes, and restoring trust in the refereeing corps.
