Historical background:
History: Football club "Kolos" was founded in 2012 in the village of Kovalivka, located in the Bila Tserkva district of the Kyiv region. Initially, the team played at the regional level, which it quickly outgrew, winning the regional championship 3 times and lifting the Super Cup of the region. In its debut season at the professional level, "Kolos" won the Second League and moved up a division. However, the team only managed to enter the UPL in the 2019/2020 season. In its debut season, "Kolos" earned the right to play in the Europa League qualifiers, where the team even managed to pass one qualification stage, eliminating the Greek team "Aris," but failed to advance to the group stage. The team from Kyiv region also participated in the Conference League qualification - again without success. Last season, "Kolos" finished in 10th place.

Geography: "Kolos" represents the village of Kovalivka in Kyiv region, where it hosts UPL matches. Despite the small population in Kovalivka, "Kolos" unites fans from all over the southern part of the Kyiv region. The team also has supporters in Kyiv, as the club's youth academy fields are located in close proximity to the city.
Head Coach: During the second round of the last championship, Ruslan Kostyshyn returned to Kovalivka, replacing Oleksandr Pozdyeiev. The coach worked with "Kolos" from 2014 to 2021 and led the team from the amateur level to European competitions (a total of 176 matches). After his coaching career, Kostyshyn briefly worked as the Vice President of the club but quickly returned to coaching. During his absence in Kovalivka, Kostyshyn worked with "Aksu" (Kazakhstan) and managed an amateur project - "Dnister" (Zalishchyky). Interestingly, many former football players are currently assisting the head coach: Oleg Shelayev, Taras Mykhalyk, Viacheslav Kernozhenko, and Vitaliy Mandziuk, who are part of the coaching staff.
