Elina Svitolina: "I am very happy to be here to support "Metalist 1925"

The famous Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina attended the match "Kolos" - "Metalist 1925" and talked about her interest in football, connection with "Metalist 1925" and Kharkiv:

— Elina, we see you more and more at football matches. Recently you were at the match of the Ukrainian national team, now at the game of "Metalist 1925". Can you already be called a football fan?

— I always try to get more acquainted with Ukrainian sports and support it. I am very happy to be here to support "Metalist 1925" this time. It is very important for me to support Ukrainian sports so that athletes are motivated and continue to play well.

— Are you more of a calm fan or energetic?

— I understand how difficult it is when you are constantly training, constantly setting goals for yourself. This is a team, so they have a big task they want to accomplish. So it's great to have the opportunity to do that. And I get very nervous at matches.

— What do you like about football in general?

— It's a team game, in tennis we mostly have individual tournaments. And I like how they build tactics, how they try to implement it, it's very interesting to watch. Not only when the national team plays, but also when teams play in Ukraine - it's very interesting.

— Is Kharkiv in its own way a native city for you and is it a reason to support "Metalist 1925"?

— I spent a lot of time in Kharkiv. This city gave a boost to my professional career, so Kharkiv is a special place for me.
